The Hope4Hounds FREE training class takes place the third Sunday of every month, at Home2K9 Dog Training in Valley Center, CA. This free class is currently limited to the number of handler participants per week, chosen through a pre-approval application process. A limited number of audit spots are also available when our dog/handler max is reached.

Hope4Hounds training is designed to assist those with dogs whose behavior issues are causing significant stress, who have become (or may pose) a danger to themselves or others, and who are at risk of facing re-homing or euthanasia. Participant dogs should come from families who simply do not have the means to afford balanced training support, those whose dogs are risking their owner’s stable housing arrangements, or who have special needs issues such as deafness, blindness, or significant past trauma.

Hope2K9 Rescue specializes in using balanced training methods to turn many unadoptable and differently-abled dogs into diamonds. We can help you find, implement, and properly use the training tools and techniques that will greatly improve your relationship and life with your dog. Please be sure you have reviewed our training website, FAQ’s, and YouTube videos for the numerous tips and tricks we give away for folks like you to be to successful at home. ALL of our fundamental repair principles, and foundational training tool applications are made available online for FREE; and should be the first place you start your training journey, before attending a Hope4Hounds class.

We are also now offering our Drive Outlet Exploration class to coincide with Hope4Hounds BY REQUEST. When we can accommodate it, we will delve into the topic of drive outlets, and how to fulfill the natural instincts that your dog was born with. Every dog has a different level of each drive, and when left unfulfilled, many times these drives lead to serious behavioral issues. Training and correction can only go so far in teaching your dog impulse control, manners, and how to turn off. However, in our opinion it is unfair to ask your dog to turn off, and never allow them to turn ON; especially for dogs with a naturally high level of drive, based on breed or genetics.

If you are interested in toy play, food work, or learning about drives be sure you LET US KNOW at the beginning of class!

To be eligible as an attendee with your dog, please submit a contact form through Home2K9.com/community-events, indicating why you and your dog require this free assistance, please include all past training you’ve pursued for the behavior issues you wish to correct.

We can’t wait to work with you and your dog!
