Learn about farming and agriculture! Visit with local businesses and groups from the agricultural community who share a passion for educating the public about life on a farm. Special guests will be on hand to share their knowledge of farm animals, composting, gardening, recycling, beekeeping, protected wildlife, and other aspects of life on the farm. Bates Nut Farm will be offering ongoing presentations about nuts and how they grow, the life of a pumpkin, the history of Bates Nut Farm, and the importance of farming in California.
Live entertainment and food, tractor hayrides, picnicking, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting and farm zoo continue through the weekend.
This event is open to the public and admission is free.
Saturday & Sunday: One of the more popular exhibits during this event is The Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association Branch 22 (EDGETA) and Vista Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum. Nostalgic machines such as antique tractors, trucks, washing machines, toys, tools, pumps, and stationary engines in operation will all be featured. Don’t miss the Antique Tractor Parades at 11:00 & 2:00!
